Fashion File: Ollie Quinn opens first US location in Capitol Hill

Independent global eyewear brand opens flagship boutique.

Ollie Quinn opened in late July with a modern 1000-square-foot space in Capitol Hill on East Pike. As an independent company, Ollie Quinn is able to keep prices fair – while still using the best quality materials – by designing all frames in-house and only selling via its own eyewear boutiques. In order to make the process easy and transparent, this starts with offering one price point of $125 USD across all frames, including single-vision prescription lenses.

By side stepping traditional optical sales methods, cutting prescriptions locally, as well as working directly with manufacturers to remove the need for intermediaries and unnecessary mark-ups, Ollie Quinn provides premium and creative design at an affordable price.

“When we decided it was the right time to enter the US market, Seattle was the obvious choice for our first location,” said Michael Andersen, CEO of Ollie Quinn North America. “As a brand, we connect with the city’s vibrant and artistic style. Seattle’s eclectic culture and welcoming nature, combined with its emergence as a diverse and growing center of industry, made the city the perfect home for our brand. We’re really excited to become a part of the community.”

All frames and sunglasses are priced at $125, including single-vision prescription lenses. At your typical optical shop, depending on the brand of frames you choose and your prescription, frames + lenses can cost upwards of $300.

Frames are available in about 1-2 weeks and can be picked up in-store or delivered. They can work with existing prescriptions from your most recent eye exam and also offers eye exams by in-house professionals, which only takes approximately 30 minutes.
