American Express once again held its annual “Hawks Island” in Seattle on October 1st, hosting several hundred American Express Card Members and American Express-accepting merchants on a 200-foot+ barge (the length of more than two basketball courts) at Pier 66. For the second consecutive year we had the chance to attend this fun pre-game experience. Hawks Island is definitely a must go if you are a casual or diehard Seahawks fan like myself. 

As in years past, American Express “Hawks Island” delivered the ultimate pre-game experience as 12s got ready for the Seahawks vs. Colts game on Sunday Night Football. The event featured special appearances by Seahawks legends Walter Jones and Steve Largent, who joined fans on the barge for tailgate style festivities.

Highlights from this year’s American Express “Hawks Island” pre-game event included:

• Complimentary bites and beverages by featured Seattle eateries: El Gaucho, Cuoco, Salty’s and Palomino
• Complimentary shuttle service to CenturyLink Field for any guests attending the Seahawks vs. Colts game
• A number of pre-game party activities and unique photo opportunities throughout the area
• Complimentary gift including co-branded tote bag and blanket for attendees
