University Village offers a unique collection of locally-owned boutiques, national retailers, and a good mix of restaurants and eateries. This spring, they are welcoming a few local and other big national brands to the open-air shopping center.

Opening this Spring:

• Away – luggage for the modern traveler; this will be the only brick-and-mortar location in the PNW
• Frankie & Jo’s – locally-owned, plant-based ice cream (it’s vegan, gluten-free, and soy- free! There are two other locations in Capitol Hill and North Ballard)
• Hello Robin – locally-owned, cookies and ice cream sandwiches (the first location is in North Capitol Hill)
• Jenni Kayne – California lifestyle brand out of Santa Monica
• Peloton – at-home, high-tech stationary bikes complemented by live-streaming or on-demand fitness classes
• Shake Shack – the modern-day version of a roadside burger stand opens its third Washington location (the first is in South Lake Union; second in Kirkland)
• Vans –  a national skate and surf brand featuring men’s, women’s and kid’s apparel, shoes and accessories
• Velvet by Graham & Spencer – men’s & women’s fashion-forward apparel with the laid-back appeal; the only location in the PNW
