Iconic Smith Tower Reopens to Visitors

World-famous Smith Tower Observatory & Bar is open to visitors once again! Sip on a hand-crafted cocktail while taking in the stunning 360-degree views of Seattle on the 35th floor while supporting a local business. The open-air observation deck and speakeasy-style bar make this the perfect spot for a fun (and safe!) night out.

Since reopening in March, Smith Tower has upped their sanitation standards so that you can feel at ease during your visit. There are physical distancing guidelines throughout the bar and shared spaces, mask requirements for all employees and guests, and hand sanitizing stations. The observation deck is a great way to get panoramic views of the city, and wraps around the tower in a one-way direction to ensure safe social distancing. This historical Seattle landmark has beautiful views and their happy hour deals are amazing! Running from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, you can enjoy their daily cocktail specials for $10 and share a delicious $12 Bento box for two. I loved the Bento box, which included shrimp cocktail, fresh rolls with peanut sauce, edamame, tea eggs, hummus, and crudité. Another favorite is their barrel-aged cocktail selection! If you’re a fan of bourbon and Aperol, you should absolutely order the Paper Plane—it’s one of the best drinks I’ve ever had.

If you’re not ready to dine in yet, no stress! The Smith Tower’s menu of classic cocktails is also available to-go.
