Seattle-based Yerba mate start-up, Yerbana, is hosting free weekly yoga sessions at Gas Works Park every Thursday all summer long!
Founded by two graduates of the University of Washington, Yerbana’s primary focus is promoting holistic healing through balanced minds, healthy bodies and authentically connected communities.

All over the world, Yerba mate is enjoyed both as a caffeinated beverage to boost productivity and as a social beverage that brings people together. “We [the founders] believe connection is medicine and one of the best ways we can give back to the community is by giving people reasons to come together.”
One of the ways that the brand aims to live through those values is by hosting free community yoga as part of their ‘Flowstate Series’. Each week, instructors from around the city will be teaching their own style of yoga. Beginners are welcome and experienced yogis will find ample space to explore new poses. Attendees will also have the chance to sample Yerbana Yerba mate flavors (peach apricot, agave, and mint, yum!) after practice.
