With the holiday season in full swing, there are lots of fun things happening in and around Seattle! It’s definitely nice to be able to do more (safely, of course!) in person again. Keep reading for some of the awesome things you can join in on this holiday season.

A restaurant that’s survived the past two years alone is reason to celebrate! With the holidays here, Pioneer Square D&E is ready to celebrate its third anniversary in style. For the month of December, the restaurant will offer a pre fixe menu at $65 per person, which includes a holiday sparkling cocktail, fresh shucked oysters, the famous fried chicken, “Shaken Beef” hangar steak with peppercorn sauce, house made boozy eggnog, and more.

D&E is also hosting a 3rd Anniversary Party and Holiday Celebration this Friday, December 10! The celebration will have free cookies, coffee, and hot apple cider throughout the day, along with a photo booth, outdoor fire pit, and themed drink specials. There will also be some house eggnog, mulled wine, and fried chicken! You can stop by anytime between 11:00 am and 9:00 pm, no RSVP required.

Next up, winter classes at The Works Seattle! Everyone at this DIY school is thrilled to welcome you back for in-person classes this season. Upcoming classes include Watercolor 101: Poinsettias on December 14th, Weaving 101 on January 15th, Fermented Condiments on February 19th, and more! You can find a full list of upcoming classes here.

Treat yourself to a cozy indoor activity or surprise your favorite people with the gift of an experience. Better yet, snag two tickets and join them! All students are required to adhere to the Works’ Covid-19 policies to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Another fun thing to check out this season is The Blend, a new tasting room in downtown Kirkland run by the same owners of Chateau St. Michelle Winery. The Blend is a cozy space where you can taste various Washington wines along with savory snacks. They feature different wines every month, and have live music some nights as well!

Winter is all about seeking out the ultimate comfort food, and Uneeda Burger in Fremont is providing just that. To welcome winter, Chef Scott Staples has concocted some warm (and cold) menu items to celebrate the season. Highlights include the Apple Cider Malt Shake, Vegetarian Chili, Buffalo Chicken Sammy, and the Lamb Burger. Uneeda Burger is open daily from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and there is plenty of dine in seating available, both inside and on the patio.

If you’re looking for a little getaway, Alderbrook Resort & Spa is an award-winning destination set on Washington’s scenic Hood Canal, and transforms for the holidays. Depart on a Christmas Cruise aboard Lady Alderbrook and sail away on a two-hour adventure including a round trip cruise from the resort to Hood Canal’s North Pole, at the Union City Market. Finish holiday shopping at the market while the little ones enjoy cocoa and cookies and receive a special gift from Santa. For adults, there’s a cash bar on the boat with beer, wine and seasonal sweet treats available for purchase. Enjoy these gifts and goodies for kids and adults alike, and then find access to nature trails, top notch culinary offerings, a rejuvenating spa and much more at the resort.
