Spring is here and Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, one of the PNW’s most beloved wineries, has lots of fun things happening this season!
Celebrating over 50 years of winemaking, the Chateau Ste. Michelle winery is located in Woodinville, just a short 20 minute drive from Seattle. The chateau is absolutely beautiful, and you could easily spend the day there. They offer daily wine tastings, tours, private experiences such as Charcuterie Board Making and the Brunch Box Experience, and virtual tastings too.
Chateau Ste. Michelle has a rotating calendar of events and seasonal experiences as well. One of the current happenings is the Sunken Garden Experience. You can enjoy sipping your favorite wines in the newly renovated European-style Sunken Garden that’s located in the heart of the winery grounds. There is a special tasting flight menu as well as wine by the glass or bottle. Select lawn games are also available for use.

Another seasonal offering is the Chateau Igloo Experience. Indulge in your very own private escape in a private, waterproof tasting igloo! The igloos come with comfortable seating for up to five people, a gourmet charcuterie board, Bluetooth speaker, glassware, and a bottle of Chateau Ste. Michelle wine from a pre-determined list of options.
For all the hockey fans out there, Climate Pledge Arena and the Seattle Kraken have named Ste. Michelle as the official wine partner of both the team and the arena. Climate Pledge Arena has a Chateau Ste. Michelle branded wine bar named The Chateau in the arena’s Mount Baker Hall for club level season ticket members. The Chateau offers an impressive selection of wines by the glass, along with cheese and charcuterie snack packs for purchase.
Ste. Michelle has also produced several wines dedicated to this partnership. 14 Hands Winery released two new Kraken White and Red Blend cans to be sold in the arena’s 14 Hands Marketplace. These limited-edition Seattle Kraken branded wines are also available at selected retailers in the Pacific Northwest. The cans feature a web-based augmented reality experience accessible from a QR code on the back of the can, bringing both the history of 14 Hands Winery and the story of the Seattle Kraken to life for fans.

“Delicious wine, great food, championship sport, and music are all proud signatures of this wonderful region and the people who call this special place home,” said David Dearie, President and CEO of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. “We are thrilled to partner with the Seattle Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena to share Washington state’s world-class wines with sport and music fans in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.”
