Street Eats, the newest restaurant by locally based Nadi Mama Group, opened earlier this month in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.

Based on a quick-service restaurant mode, Street Eats builds off the popularity of nearby sister restaurant Mamnoon Street and aims to broaden the experience of traditional and modern Levantine flavors. Offering curated classic Middle Eastern dishes such as fatteh and mujadara, mini shawarmas called ‘shawarminis,’ and build-your-own-bowl options featuring a wide variety of proteins, vegetables, and famously flavorful sauces, these customizable items are tailored to speed and efficiency, while still maintaining the same high quality.

“The mission of our restaurants is to build relationships and community through hospitality experiences rooted in Levantine traditions,” said Wassef Haroun, owner of Nadi Mama Group. “Street Eats is a natural expansion, as it empowers us to share the beloved Mamnoon Street flavors in new, accessible ways. We’re proud to bring modern healthy dining options to Seattle and South Lake Union, and we’re especially excited to fill a gap that our guests have been asking for: customizable, build-your-own options.”

The shawarminis are $5 each or 3 for $13, and include three incredibly flavorful options: cauliflower al pastor, chicken harra verde, and lamb awarma. It’s $14 to build your own bowl and the possibilities are endless. Bases include house basmati rice, brown rice, hummus, greens and herbs, and arabic bread. Chicken shawarma, za-atar mushrooms, and beef kefta meatballs are just a few of the proteins that are available. We highly recommend any of the sauces, but the avocado labneh, pineapple salsa, and harra hot sauce are some of our favorites. Add-ons include soft-boiled eggs, spiced french lentils, marinated feta, and many more. We love the variety here!

Street Eats is located at 2040 6th Avenue in South Lake Union. They are open for dine-in, pickup, and delivery from 12:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday. For more information, visit nadimama.com.
