I’ll admit, I tend to stay away from restaurants situated on the ground floor of one of the luxury apartments slowly taking over the city, especially if that restaurant is in South Lake Union. But after stepping into Dexter Brewhouse, it was clear that the space was created intentionally to provide a warm, cozy spot in an ever-changing neighborhood.
Henry’s Tavern, an upscale tavern-inspired bar and restaurant, recently opened a new location in SLU at 501 Fairview Avenue N. Henry’s Tavern first opened in Seattle in 2013 with its SoDo location that quickly established itself as a local favorite and a game day destination. This will be the third Henry’s Tavern in the Seattle-area following the opening of Henry’s in Bellevue downtown this summer.
I had never taken a spin class before this. Something about it always intimidated me. I’ve halfheartedly biked at the gym for a few minutes a handful of times and I’m an occasional summer bike rider, but that’s it.
