Okay, okay, the official name of this event actually refers to it as a “round-up” but ehh. You say po-tay-to, I say po-tah-to. You say round-up, I say rodeo. I can see it now: a herd of food trucks grazing the Seattle streets when out of nowhere a starving Seattleite attempts to lasso one of them using an over-sized fork and only being thwarted by the latest in the Super Sonics NBA-decision distraction.

Out of the corner of my eye I see two svelte-shaped people walking towards the sidewalk to The Bar Method front door, hand-in-hand and looking in love as ever. For a second I think to myself, “Is that Sean and Catherine (of ‘The Bachelor’)?” I know Catherine is one of Seattle’s Bar Method ambassadors for the upcoming 60-Day Challenge but I soon realize there’s no way she’s back from press tours yet. It’s not just any garage sale and certainly not your mother’s garage sale. But it is the mother of all garage sales. BYOB(ags) to the Urban Girls Garage Sale!
Talk about a killer workout! Ba dum dum. WOD, in fact, is actually a CrossFit abbreve for “Workout of the Day” – a phrase I became all too familiar with when I entered the box one Monday night to find out what the craze is all about. (Box is CrossFit lingo for gym.)
Take a vibrant city with a temperate climate, an energetic farmers’ market scene and “wine countries” in both nearby Woodinville and Walla Walla over the pass. Add a heaping helping of adventurous, talented chefs who know exactly what to do with the region’s bounty, and you’ve got Seattle: a foodie nirvana with
