The two-day, all ages and free The Ballard SeafoodFest began in 1974 as a community celebration of Ballard’s historic connection to the fishing industry and the neighborhood’s Nordic roots. Today, this festival attracts over 65,000 people who come to enjoy the traditional salmon barbecue and much more: local music, arts and crafts, family entertainment, a beer garden, a skate event, and yes – more seafood! The event is Saturday, July 9: 11:00 am – 10:00 pm and Sunday, July 10: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm.

Seattleites are well known for drinking coffee and enjoying the outdoors, but something else we Northwesterners love is our seafood. This weekend, the Ballard Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating its 37th annual SeafoodFest in Seattle’s historically Scandinavian neighborhood.
