With an exciting new, user-friendly app, green Seattleites can help make the environment better in the golden age of technology.
You’re a Seattleite, so you go green…or at least try to. Maybe you ride your bike to work, wash your dishes by hand or have a compost bin under your sink. How much of a difference are you really making, though?
With Blue Chip’s new application, My Carbon Footprint, eco-friendly iPhone, iPad and Droid users can calculate their individual effect on our planet. Stanton Kawer, CEO of Blue Chip Marketing Worldwide, hopes this innovative app will “spread the word that the little changes we make every day can have a big impact on the environment.” This exciting technology will be available on April 22, otherwise known as Earth Day 2011.
Here’s how it works: Users generate their personal footprint by answering a series of multiple-choice questions such as, “What is the gas mileage of the car you drive most often?” Once their impact has been determined, users will have the opportunity to help (or hurt) their ecosystem by answering a ‘Question of the Day.’ They will also receive pointers to help them make green choices during their daily routines, which can be posted onto Facebook walls for others to see (and, hopefully, be influenced by).
As any environmentalist can tell you, little changes from all of us can lead to big results. With My Carbon Footprint, users can take an important first step toward making our planet a little healthier.
