Happenin’ Happy Hour: Greenlake Bar & Grill

You don’t have to be a swimmer to enjoy these HH deals — but it definitely helps.

You know how your mother always said never swim until 30 minutes after eating? Well, she’s right. On the other hand, swimming and then eating is never a bad idea, especially when taking the short stroll to the Greenlake Bar & Grill.

Must-Have Grub: The summer menu highlights healthy fare to keep all those hard-earned swimming calories where they belong – out of your body. Highlights include the Mediterranean wrap ($6) and the salmon burger ($7). However, it wouldn’t be a bar without a tasty burger ($7) with white cheddar-topped waffle fries ($4) and scallion oil.

Other items include your usual salad suspects (house and Caesar for $4, while the chop is $6) and carnitas tacos ($6). Finish it all off with a seasonal cobbler ($4), and happiness will be your reward.

Must-have Libations: Refreshing thirst-quenchers include draft beers like Boundary Bay IPA, Alaskan Amber and Redhook Rotator for $4. Wine isn’t forgotten, either — glasses of locally grown Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Syrah and Riesling are all available for less than $5.

Very Berry Fizz, Neighborhood Punch and other sassy cocktails are available for $5. Then there’s the John Daly, alcoholic cousin to an Arnold Palmer, that blends Absolut Wild Tea Vodka, Gold Peak Ice Tea and lemonade to create a refreshing summer beverage.

If you fancy a martini, be sure to head over to the Greenlake Bar & Grill on Monday evenings. House martinis, cosmos, lemon drops and other classy cocktails are all offered for less than $4 from 5 p.m. to closing time.

Happy Times: 3 – 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. – close every day!
