Trek Tri-Island: Adventure for a Cause

Bike the San Juans this weekend and get some exercise and fresh air.

The Northwest is home to some of the freshest air in the United States. With strict smoking regulations and plenty of greenery—you could say we are downright pampered with our oxygen. However, clean air comes at a price—and the American Lung Association of the Mountain Pacific is trying to ensure that this never becomes a premium we can’t afford.

This weekend, September 16-19, marks the 29th annual Trek Tri-Island through the scenic and quintessentially Northwest San Juan Islands. Bicyclists will enjoy a 20 or 50+ mile ride through Orcas, San Juan, and Lopez Islands depending on your skill level and comfort with cycling.

The American Lung Association will take care of all of the details—ferry, accommodations, mechanics and meals—while participants are invited to relax and enjoy a stress free weekend trekking through the picturesque San Juan Islands.

Whether you love to give back to the community or just love to ride, this opportunity lets you do both while simultaneously meeting fellow bikers, sharing stories and cultivating friendships and life-long memories along the way. From Anacortes to Friday Harbor, this ride will let bikers drink in the beauty and clarity of the Northwest and truly appreciate our fresh air and surroundings in one all-encompassing adventure.
