It’s heaven on earth at this weekend’s sweet fest.
Has your sweet tooth been flaring up lately? Chocoholics from across the northwest are preparing to indulge October 22-23 at the Seattle Center for the annual NW Chocolate Festival.
Seduce your taste buds at the largest dessert showcase in Seattle, which is themed around teaching the origins of chocolate, the agriculture of the precious cacao fruit it comes from, and the techniques and tricks that set this year’s chocolate makers apart from the rest. Two days loaded with sweetest sweets, finest wines, and of course an array of delicately crafted chocolates from across the United States — yum!
This year, festival goers will get to mingle with chocolate makers and hear the story behind each creation from cacao plant to a decadent truffle, or taste fresh cacao fruit straight from South America. Those who strive to be chocolate connoisseurs can participate in chocolate educational classes, chocolate cooking classes, and master the art of a professional tasting.
Chocolate tastings will be available from a variety of local confectionaries as well as international chocolate makers from Madagascar, Ghana, and Ecuador among others. If you’re keen on serving others, volunteer this year, and be a part of the festival atmosphere! NWCF applicants can register online, and receive free entry to the weekend festivities.
If you’ve been in the mood for an aphrodisiac experience; the answer is YES, the chocolate festival will have an aphrodisiac room to tease your senses. There will also be delicious coffee and chocolate pairings, and of course wine pairings to boot. The festival also dedicates a new section to specialty chocolate drinks for those who’re chocolate parched.
Whether you love Milk, Bordeaux, Dark, or white chocolate, there is no place like the NW Chocolate Festival to satisfy all your cravings. The NW Chocolate festival is put on by the NWCF Academy, and highlights three local nonprofit organizations in the city. Click here to reserve your ticket to the wonderful weekend of chocolate today.
