It’s time for college football fans to show what they’re really made of.
On Saturday, Nov. 26, The Washington State Cougars will duke it out with the UW Huskies in the 104th Annual Apple Cup, played this year at CenturyLink Field. The victor will claim a year’s worth of bragging rights, and the loser — well, we all know what’s in store for them.
Some college students celebrate this time-honored tradition clad in crimson and gray, while others use purple and gold to show support to their alma mater. Non-students don’t have to cheer their team from home or be the creepy, almost naked guy who stumbles to the game by himself. BOKA Kitchen + Bar has a way for seasoned fans to do their team proud, college style.
Translation: It’s time to get your drink on, and BOKA has you covered.
Throughout Apple Cup weekend (Nov. 25 – 27), Husky and Cougar fans can show what they’re really made of by sipping signature Apple Cup cocktails, courtesy of BOKA Bar Manager and mixologist Mi-Suk Ahn. The “Husky” ($7) combines hibiscus infused vermouth, brandy, simple syrup, Scrappy’s orange bitter and soda, while the “Cougar” ($7) mixes blueberry infused vodka, lemon juice and huckleberry liqueur.
At weekend’s end, BOKA will tally the total sales for each cocktail to determine which team has the most fans. As a bonus, BOKA will serve complimentary Apple sticky buns from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on game day.
You could do the longest keg stand or participate in a three hour-long jumping/screaming marathon to prove that the Huskies or Cougars are better, but let’s face it — this year’s fan battle at Boka will be a lot more fun.
