This weekend, some local rockers invite you to don a mask and party. Hard.
If you want to ring in the month of December with something a little edgier than drummer boys and jingling bells — or you already miss Halloween — head to Studio Seven on Saturday, Dec. 3 for Esitu’s sixth annual Masquerade Mayhem. Tickets ($10 pre-sale, $12 at the door) are available online.
Since 2006, Seattle-based prog-rock band Esitu has headlined this masquerade extravaganza at different Seattle locations. This isn’t any old concert or costume party — the band and the supporting acts get decked out in their finest masquerade attire and rock out with the costumed audience. This year, Echoreason, Wide Eye Panic, and The Purpose Being will entertain the crowd with original music, cover songs — and a few surprises as well.
If a bumpin’ masquerade bash isn’t enough reason to go, Esitu offers special ticket discounts and merchandise for those who dress up and bring their friends. Buy three tickets and receive a fourth for free. Buy eight and get two free tickets, as well as a complimentary band tee and CD. If you really want to make it a par-tay, invite all your friends — you’ll score some merch and get in for free.
