Cookies And Bonfires For A Good Cause

Support Seward Park Audubon Center at this fun-filled gathering.

What: The holiday party season is set to kick off in altruistic fashion with the Winter’s Eve Fundraising Holiday Party, held at the Seward Park Audubon Center. Bring the whole family for hot drinks by the bonfire, holiday cookie decorating, wagon rides, dinner and a silent auction.

Who: The Seward Park Environmental and Audubon Center is a partnership between the National Audubon Society and the Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation. They offer many programs, activities and events that educate the community and inspire Seattleites to care for their surrounding environment.

Where: Seward Park on Lake Washington Blvd. (directions)

When: The party will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., and horse-drawn wagon rides are scheduled for 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

How Much: Tickets are $50 for adults and $15 for kids.

Why: The center offers valuable programs related to youth education, environmental restoration and citizen science that could not take place without the generous support of the community. These programs are all extremely important — and this event is a fun, spirited way to support them.
