The Progressive International Motorcycle Show rolls into town.

This weekend, the Washington State Convention Center will host the Seattle leg of the Progressive International Motorcycle Show. The exposition series kicked off last month in San Mateo, Calif., and is scheduled to visit 11 U.S. cities before the final pit-stop in Daytona Beach, Fla., in March 2012.
The show — considered the largest international bike expo in the world — will feature more than 100 exhibitors, all showcasing the most attractive and innovative motorcycle designs available today. Everything from sleek street bikes to old school choppers will be on display for the public, as well as activities for every type of rider.
- Daredevils Pat and Phil Smage recently became world-famous, thanks to an appearance on “America’s Got Talent,” last September, and the exciting Smage Bros. Stunt Show is sure to make jaws — and stomachs — drop.
- At the Kawasaki Design-A-Bike, show-goers can digitally transform an existing Kawasaki model into a motorcycle that’s been customized for you.
- Enter the exciting world of custom motorcycle design at the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show, where attendees can hear artists describe every step of their painstaking process — and then vote for the best entry.
- Whether the topic is motorcycle insurance, buying one’s first bike or wearing a helmet, everyone can learn something at The Learning Curve — a series of seminars that will cater to experts and novices alike. Women who love motorcycles should check out the gals-only series of seminars.
- “A Century of Motorcycling,” presented by “Motorcyclist Magazine,” will feature a collection of bikes to represent every decade that has passed since the publication was founded in 1912.

Other show attractions include a collection of first-rate parts and accessories, information about how to join local riding clubs, demo rides and giveaway prizes courtesy of the Swag Wagon. Whether you’re a seasoned bike enthusiast or newcomer to the world of motorcycles, this show will satisfy your inner-wild child.
The Progressive International Motorcycle Show is scheduled to run from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16; 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18. Tickets are available online (prices vary).
