Stephen Seo23 | Seattle
Hometown: Chico, CA
Occupation: Principal at Social Werks Communications and Digital Trendsetter
Why We Heart Them
This social media aficionado has been tweeting since way before it was the cool thing to do—and his impressive drive and multi-faceted skill-set have made him a successful entrepreneur with a resume way beyond his 23 years.
As the principal and founder of Social Werks Communications, an affiliate of prestigious Seattle PR firm, Gruman and Nicoll, Stephen works hard to facilitate media relations and execute social media campaigns for a variety of fabulous clients in retail, fashion, hospitality, nightlife, fitness and the performing arts.
A UCLA graduate and Seattle transplant, this California native worked with some of the top marketing and PR professionals in the Los Angeles area before taking his talents to the Northwest. His previous experience includes time spent working for media giant NBC Universal as well as Fingerprint Communications and Allied Integrated Marketing where he helped execute events such as the Maxim Hot 100 Party and a multitude of movie premiers and screenings.
Stephen’s current clients include Bako Seattle, Voli Spirits, RN74 Seattle, Acento Digital Media, Melvita, Arthur & Associates Santa Photos, Built For Man, and Pacific Place Seattle. As if this isn’t enough to keep him busy—he is also a co-founder of the Los Angeles Chapter of Social Media Breakfast, an exceptional national organization focused on networking and education within the social media field, as well as an active member of the board of advisors for LAB5 Fitness.
When he’s not dedicating his time to one of Social Werks’ accounts, you might find him at Auburn Dance Academy teaching and choreographing competitive dance to kids ages 9-17. Before honing his skills as a social media and communication expert, Stephen performed and trained in dance all over the world—including a recent trip to Prague in May 2011 where he performed for Vietnamese pop artists. He loves sharing his passion for dance with his students and will be performing at the upcoming Red Dress Party in Seattle on Saturday, Feb. 18.
As if you weren’t already impressed–this will also be Stephen’s second year in a row volunteering as a marketing consultant for Pacific Northwest Ballet’s young professionals party.
