WineTastic: Celebrate Washington Wine Month!

March brings out the big guns of local wine and food to revel in Washington Wine.

The grape juice of Washington will be honored throughout the month of March by way of featured promotions and events from restaurants, retailers, hotels and wineries in the state, all for the wine consumers’ benefit. Taste Washington, the nation’s largest single-region wine and food event, will cap the month off as a two-day event on March 31st and April 1st at Centurylink Field Event Center. Book one, book all, just make sure to come thirsty.

Metropolitan Market | Thursday, March 8th – Saturday, March 10th and Thursday, March 29th – Saturday, March 31st | All locations — Come raise a glass to Washington Wine Month by sampling Washington wines with a complimentary wine tasting at Metropolitan Market’s multiple locations. The wines will be paired with delicious local bites so guests can truly taste the flavors of the neighborhood. The latter half of the month’s tastings will be combined with the market’s mouthwatering Kurobuta Ham, roasted lamb and fresh Columbia King Salmon to grasp the season.

RN74‘s Behind the Bottle Dinners | March 13th and March 26th | Downtown — Experience a five-course tasting menu constructed by the wine-savvy hands of RN74’s chef to pair with Pepper Bridge Winery on Tuesday, March 13th and Reynvaan Family Vineyards on Monday, March 26th.

Russell’s Long Shadows Vintners Winemaker Dinner | 7:00pm, Wednesday, March 14 | Bothell — Enjoy a five-course meal by Chef Russell Lowell who has been carefully preparing how to complement five Long Shadows wines with precision.

Purple Cafe & Wine Bar‘s AVA Featured Dinners | Varying dates in March | All locations — All four Purple cafes will have a special dinner featuring the wines from one of Washington’s 11 American Viticultural Areas, with Purple Kirkland on Wednesday, March 14th featuring Horse Heaven Hills, Purple Bellevue on Saturday, March 17th featuring Columbia Gorge, Purple Woodinville on Thursday, March 22nd featuring Walla Walla Valley and Purple Seattle on Monday, March 26th featuring Yakima Valley.

Sullivan’s Steakhouse Tuesday Tastings and Wine Dinners | 5:00-7:00pm Tuesdays in March | Downtown — Join Sullivan’s in the bar area for their weekly “Tuesday Tastings” featuring Washington wine for $10 that includes the wine and some bites from the kitchen to pair. Rover’s | Sunday- Thursday in March | Madison Valley — The upscale French restaurant welcomes wine drinkers and foodies alike to enjoy 50% off all Washington wines during the  month.

The Wine Alley | Fridays & Saturdays in March | Renton  — Hosted tastings by wineries will run through March with Wind River Cellars, Jones of Washington Winery, Kiona Cellars and JM Cellars. Guests will save 10% off Washington wine purchases as well.
