Living in the PNW sure has its charms, and access to lovely local wines and brews is one of them. With fall on the horizon, I find myself clinging on to the final weeks of summer with lots of outdoor excursions (with the zoo being a favorite!) and refreshing drinks. August is also Washington State wine month, so there are huge wine discounts and fun events that you can check out here.

Here are some of our recommendations for soaking up the rest of the summer.

Washington’s top wineries join Fairmont Olympic Hotel in the TASTE Celebrations for their 3rd annual event series. Every March, Washington State Wine (WSW) – the organization that represents all wineries and vineyards in Washington State – honors the ever-growing Washington State wine industry with a month-long celebration of tastings, pairings, promotions and events. Every March, Washington State Wine (WSW)—the organization that represents all wineries and vineyards in Washington State—honors the ever-growing Washington State wine industry with a month-long celebration of tastings, pairings, promotions and events. To celebrate Taste Washington Wine Month 2016, the Fairmont Olympic Hotel will host their second annual wine event series.

March brings out the big guns of local wine and food to revel in Washington Wine.

The grape juice of Washington will be honored throughout the month of March by way of featured promotions and events from restaurants, retailers, hotels and wineries in the state, all for the wine consumers’ benefit. Taste Washington, the nation’s largest single-region wine and food event, will cap the month off as a two-day event on March 31st and April 1st at Centurylink Field Event Center. Book one, book all, just make sure to come thirsty.
