Sneak up to this Belltown hideaway for simple snacks and kooky cocktails.

If there’s one thing I know, Belltown isn’t going anywhere.  Not that it should, but over the course of my time in Seattle and the three years I lived in the borough, it’s fair to say that all the ups (Patagonia, Cinerama, my dear Lava Lounge) could also be countered with a few downs (crime, concrete, coo coos).

It’s an area that in the same breath could be spoken with disdain or optimism.  One topic that certainly recalls the latter is The Upstairs, a chic lounge where the outside quickly melts away into the many carpets, soft light, and comfortable seating options.

Must Have Drinks:  Just like the food options, the happy hour drink line is simple, leaving all the complexity to your conversations.  Sierra Nevada sports for $3 while Rainier comes in at a nice, even $2.  Harder varietals reflect themselves in well drinks for $4 and house wines at $6.
