Music Madness: Miike Snow

The Swedes invade Seattle and unleash the animal.

Check ’em Out: Who is Miike Snow? DJ. Electronica. Wizard. Jackolope. Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, two Swedish dudes hooked on creating beats teamed up with American Andrew Watts back in 2000 to work on someone else’s pop album.  Evidently this spawned a lasting friendship that would develop into the elusive birth of Miike Snow in 2007.

Both Swedes have a background in Djaying and experimenting with electronica and have written/produced a series of beats for Britney Spears, Madonna, and Kylie Minogue. Their first album illustrates the dept of each individual’s talents with song writing, production, performance, and tribute to the mystery. Their singles “Animal” and “A Horse is Not a Home” have landed them a global fan base loyal to their addictive electro-pop music and ecstatic to reveal the faces behind the masks.

When: Tuesday, April 10th  at the Paramount Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m.

Tickets: From $25.75 here.
