Northwest Wine Academy Spring Release Party | Thursday, June 7 – Friday, June 8, 12 – 6 p.m. | Seattle | Looking for a new tasting experience? The Northwest Wine Academy at South Seattle Community College will be hosting a tasting of their Spring Release wines. The event is free and open to the public. On the agenda for the release party is a live barrel toasting demonstration and a Dare to Pair competition where teams from the culinary school will battle it out in a contest to prepare appetizers worthy enough to be paired with one of the new releases.
PDX Urban Wineries Summer Event | Saturday, June 9, 2 – 5 p.m. | Portland | Attention Portland Seattleite fans! The PDX Urban Wineries Summer Event includes tastings from eight wineries and appetizers to pair. Roll Chocolates and Portland Creamery will be on hand providing tasty samples.
10th Annual Rosé Revival and Other Cool Whites Event | Wednesday, June 13, 6 – 9 p.m. | Seattle | The Ryther League’s Sips & Shoes Unit will be holding a fabulous Rosé Revival and Other Cool Whites event at Ray’s Boathouse in Ballard. Northwest winemakers will be pouring a variety of Rosé made from varietals such as Sangiovese, Syrah, Cab Franc, Pinot Noir and more. The event will also feature an array of crisp whites to keep you cool for summer sipping.
Vintage Walla Walla | Friday, June 15 – Sunday, June 17 | Walla Walla | With a reputation for producing wines of superb quality, Walla Walla will be sure to have your palate covered at this signature, one-of-a-kind wine weekend. Taste some of the Valley’s rarest vintage and library wines at some of Walla Walla’s finest wineries and restaurants.
Subplot Trot No3 | Saturday, June 16 | Richland (Tri-Cities) | J. Bookwalter Winery will be hosting a 5 mile run and 2 mile walk along the scenic Tapteal Trail to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. The race begins at 11 a.m. but stay after and enjoy live music, food, prizes and of course, wine.
Vinolution 21 | Friday, June 22, 6 – 10:30 p.m. | Downtown Seattle | Created to highlight the new, up and coming wineries of Washington State, Vinolution works to preserve the traditions and diversity of the Pike Place Market neighborhood by supporting the Market’s human service agencies for low-income and elderly residents of downtown Seattle. Come show your support while you enjoy music and a live auction and taste wines from select Washington State vintners. Wines will be paired with dishes from celebrity and local chefs and sustainable food sources.
