Be in the Know: Foodportunity

Foodies and chefs unite at this tasty mecca for food lovers.

Foodportunity is a food networking event for local restaurant owners, journalists, chefs, food bloggers, and any interested foodies. Hosted by Keren Brown, aka “The Frantic Foodie,” she is one of the most connected local foodie experts around town — this food mecca shindig is not to be missed.

This year’s participating food professionals is impressive: Fonté Coffee, Jess Thomson (author of the Pike Place Market Recipes cookbook), Wheatless In Seattle, TabbyCat Pickling Co., Seattle Salads, Chef Thierry Rautureau (Luc and Rover’s), Palisade, Chocolopolis, RN74, Herbivoracious, Tom Douglas Restaurants, Alice Currah of the blog, Tavern Law, Spur, Ray’s Boathouse, Trophy Cupcakes, Demetri’s, Tulip Bay Fine Dining, Big John’s PFI, Il Fornaio, Cynthia Nims of, Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar, and many more.

If you work in the food industry, this is a great opportunity to snack and schmooze with other professionals; but if you don’t,  there’s still the food tasting for all to enjoy.  This is your chance to meet the people behind the products, to sample food from restaurants you’ve been meaning to try, or discover new favorites.
