What’s Hot: Capitol Hill Block Party

When Seattle’s hilltop neighborhood decides to have a block party, it doesn’t mess around. The annual Capitol Hill Block Party brings Northwest culture’s edgiest artists alongside big-name favorites, and this year’s musical lineup will rock your world.

The three-day Seattle tradition includes over 100 performances, from international talents like Grimes, Diplo, and Major Lazer, to local favorites like Fresh Espresso and former Fleet Foxes member Father John Misty. Other must-sees like Neko Case, Thee Oh Sees, and Phantogram will be there to party with you, too. Aside from the six musical stages supplying continuous jams, an eclectic array of local food, crafts, and personalities will be at the festival as always for your eating and viewing pleasure.

This year’s festival is enhanced with a few changes. As a celebration of Seattle culture, the party will include new creative mediums, showcasing a variety of multimedia art and screening short films. In addition to the usual hipster crowd, expect to see a few younger faces— children’s programming has been added to the lineup. Join Seattle’s 16-year strong dance party and get your fill of rock, electronic, and local color.
