Find some finger lickin’ BBQ in Ballard.

In this edition of Food Porn, we feature Kickin’ Boot Whiskey Kitchen, where everything is made in house, from scratch, and with quality ingredients (except their bread made by Tall Grass Bakery). Their menu features house-smoked meats, wood-fired steaks, and hearty Southern fare. With an impressive whiskey collection, plenty of wine and beer, and small batch sippers, they have libations to complement every meal.

They have small plates such as the Kickin’ Shrimp with skillet-fried shrimp in a spicy beer butter sauce and served with garlic Texas toast. They also have a BBQ Trio that provides a good sampling of baby back ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, and their housemade cornbread.

Kickin’ Boot offers an extensive choice of sides, including favorites like Smoky Baked Beans, Collard Greens, Four Cheese Macaroni, and Cornbread served with a whiskey honey butter. Their sandwiches such as the Pulled Pork, Kickin’ Boot Burger (which is pretty awesome), and Beef Brisket are hearty and satisfying lunch or dinner.

For entrees, choose from Fried Chicken with buttermilk biscuits, mashers, gravy, and horseradish slaw. The slow-smoked and grilled Baby Back Ribs, house-made Hot Links, or the tender and juice BBQ Chicken smoked with a spicy sauce.

Don’t forget about dessert! Try the decadent Banana Pudding Parfait served with vanilla wafers or the creamy and smooth Key Lime Pie with a torched marshmallow meringue topping.
