Head to the SLU for a delightful Indian experience — now offering sit-down lunch.

Seattleites rolled out the culinary red carpet for Shanik, Seattle’s addition of Vij’s group of Indian restaurants from Vancouver, which opened last December. The cuisine is innovative and the flavors are bold in this modern Indian restaurant. Previously, only offering take-out at lunch, they are now open for sit-down lunch from 11am to 2pm Monday through Friday.

The yogurt, paneer, and ghee are made in-house. The spices are hand-sifted, roasted, and grinded in-house as well. The Spice Encrusted Lamb Popsicles are deliciously grilled with a light smokiness and served with a light curry and pea mash.

Marinated and Grilled Chicken with Saffron Curry features tender and moist chicken with a creamy curry and fluffy basmati rice.

The dishes are executed well, plated beautifully, and the flavors are daring, yet comforting. With an open kitchen and an open heart, Shanik welcomes you.

Shanik is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11am to 2pm and open for dinner at 5:30 pm Monday through Saturday.
