Beat the heat with refreshing brews at two fun-filled events this weekend.

BEER CAMP THIS FRIDAY
Looking for weekend plans? Beer Camp is calling your name. Presented by the Hop Growers of America, Sierra Nevada’s annual extravaganza (the country’s largest craft beer festival), hosts events in eight U.S. cities this month, landing in Gas Works Park this Friday, June 30. The festive event welcomes more than 90 local and national breweries in addition to some of the city’s best food trucks, musicians and entertainers.

In addition to all the delicious beer samplings, enjoy tasty bites from Seattle favorites like Where Ya at Matt, 314 Pie, Street Treats, Hallava Falafel and Athena’s (Greek-style street food). Vaudeville Etiquette performs at 6, and The Dip takes the stage at 8 p.m. All proceeds from Beer Camp ticket sales go to brewing nonprofits and local brewers’ guilds.
Also this weekend, Elysian Brewing team launches its first-ever “Search Party” on Saturday, July 1—during a one-day celebration of beer, food, music and the arts that benefits The Vera Project. At Seattle Center dive into 40-plus beers on tap and some of the city’s best food truck grub; fest goers can savor the city’s passion for the arts while viewing exhibits, participating in giveaways and grooving to live music sets by The Sonics, The Struts, Black Pistol Fire and Thunderpussy. All proceeds benefit The Vera Project—Seattle’s beloved all-ages, volunteer-fueled music and arts venue.
