For the fifth year, downtown Tacoma is hosting its premier beer and blues festival Brew Five Three this Saturday, August 5th. This year’s event will feature 40 Washington breweries and cideries, a full day of live music featuring headliner Stephanie Anne Johnson, and a variety of food trucks.

Anticipating a sold-out event, Broadway Center organizers have limited the capacity for the beerfest to provide the best experience for festival goers and vendors alike. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets early to guarantee admittance to this popular block party.

The festival was recently honored by the Tacoma Chamber of Commerce with a New Tacoma Public Places Award, “recognizing the best activation of a public park, open space, or area in the public right-of-way.”

South Puget Sound’s bustling brew scene has grown significantly in the past year. Brew Five Three makes trying out the newcomers easy, bringing together the majority of the Tacoma-area’s brewers in one place for a stellar block party. Additionally,this year’s festivities boasts the most robust beer and cider vendor list of all previous festivals. If you’re unfamiliar with the South Sound, you could not ask for a better time to trek on down.

  • Military: $25 ($28 day of)
  • Designated Driver Ticket*: $10 (*Ineligible to use tasting tokens or drink alcohol and does not receive a glass)
  • Full-price tickets include 6 tasting tokens and a souvenir glass
  • Note: Prices do not include Box Office fees
    • 21+ event and valid Washington State approved photo ID is required for entry, no exceptions. Failure to present valid ID will result in denial of entry without refund.
