Chef-Owner Rob Sevcik has a longstanding love affair of cooking for the Madison Valley neighborhood, and this time he’s returned with his own elegant brasserie serving lunch and dinner.

Petite Galerie opened in March 2018 and occupies the light-filled space with a sophisticated elegance that invites guests to settle in for a night of fine dining.
Sevcik’s vision for his restaurant is a “studio” where he and his staff can spend their days creating new dishes and working with ingredients to explore taste, texture, and food. The menu is divided into four segments with ingredients that rotate daily: Land (meat), Sea (seafood), Earth (veggies) and Heaven (sweets). Guests have the option of ordering family style to share, selecting a few dishes to be served sequentially, or letting the chef prepare something special based on guest preferences.
We had the privilege of exploring Sevcik’s tasting menu, which will soon have its place on the regular menu. Highlights include the Yellow Fin Tuna-Bread Salad with olive oil, chives, salmon roe and creme fraiche, the Quail-Herbed Mousse Roulade with pickled kumquat, brussels sprout and quinoa, the angus coulatte with cambozola gratin, cipollina, speck and sour onion jam, the Petrale Sole with Toasted Hazelnut, napa cabbage, pearl onion and mushroom broth, and the Pan Seared Foie Gras with asian plum, cinnamon bread and spiced honey.

Our final course was a delicious dessert of Roasted Pineapple, Kaffir Lime Panna Cotta with candied kumquat and Szechuan peppercorn and a Milk Chocolate Mousse with candied citrus, toasted almonds, and meringue.
Petite Galerie’s lunch menu offers open-faced gourmet sandwiches, homemade soups and slow-cooked comfort food, as well as lighter fare such as salads, seasonal quiche and chilled seafood (crab, tuna, prawns, and lobster). Also fun for lunch are craft Italian sodas in which the guest mixes the final components at the table.

Petite Galerie is located at 3131 East Madison, Suite 100. Lunch is served Monday through Friday for lunch from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday with the first seating at 5:00 pm and last seating at 9:30 pm. The restaurant is closed on Sunday. To learn more visit petitegalerie-seattle.com.
