The Flora Bakehouse in Beacon Hill previously served as a production bakery for its sister restaurants, Cafe Flora in Madison Valley, and Floret, a busy grab-and-go counter at the Sea-Tac Airport. As of this past Saturday, January 23rd, The Flora Bakehouse is now welcoming the community to their newly opened public cafe.
Nourish is a collection of short stories, photos and recipes submitted by 10 organizers within the Seattle community. These stories are compiled into a visually appealing coffee table book, highlighting the stories of these organizers through family recipes and food.
Midnite Ramen is Seattle’s first ramen food cart, also known as a yatai. The ramen yatai started in Japan in the early 1900s, traditionally serving from late in the evening until early in the morning. The food they often served was known as yonakisoba, or, midnight ramen.
