Watch all the action from downtown’s Sky View Observatory.

It’s nearly that much anticipated weekend of summer yet again—Seafair—and we can think of no better place to watch the air show this Saturday and Sunday than from the Sky View Observatory. Located on the 73rd floor of Columbia Center, the nearly 1,000-foot-tall venue (which recently underwent a million dollar makeover), offers the tallest public viewing area in the Pacific Northwest.

The 360-degree panoramic view can’t be beat; think Mt. Rainier, Bellevue, the Cascade Mountains, Mt. Baker, Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains, the Space Needle and the iconic Seattle skyline. The focus this weekend: Those sensational Blue Angels and waterways chock full of boaters.

Here’s what you can expect from the Sky View festivities: Your view from the top includes binoculars to enhance the view, and guests who are 21 and over enjoy a two-hour open bar from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. featuring beer, wine and Prosecco. (The youth ticket includes unlimited non-alcoholic beverages during that same timeframe.)

Rise above the crowds this weekend, and get ready to feast your eyes on some of Seattle’s sweetest summer sites.
