Local farmers will vie for the opportunity to have their biggest and best pumpkin featured at the Great Pumpkin Beer Fest (GPBF) the following weekend. The winning several-hundred pound giant is scooped, scorched, filled with Elysian pumpkin beer, sealed, conditioned, and then tapped at the fest for all to enjoy.

The free, family-friendly weigh-off event places a well-deserved spotlight on local farmers, giving the community a glimpse at the thriving agriculture community in Washington. As they celebrate Seattle growers, attendees can enjoy grub from favorite Seattle food trucks and sip on pumpkin Elysian beers.

Get your glass of fresh-tapped beer from the winning pumpkin at the 14th Annual Great Pumpkin Beer Fest. The two-day 21+ event will feature more than 80 pumpkin beers, including classics from Elysian Brewing like Night Owl, The Great Pumpkin, Punkuccino and the newly bottled Dark Knife Pumpkin Schwarzbier along with other delicious surprises from participating breweries.

More than just a celebration of pumpkin beer, GPBF will feature food vendors, activities, performances, and more. Costumes are encouraged, with Orange being the theme this year. Each day of the festival, Elysian’s finest will be roaming through the crowds to select the most festive bunch to compete for a prize.

For the second year, 100% of GPBF proceeds will benefit the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Fred Hutch performs cancer and disease research and their work is at the center of revolutionary discoveries and better lives. Elysian is thrilled to support the organization in its efforts to bring Seattle the best brews, local food trucks, live music and fun festivities at GPBF.
