This annual charity event benefits the Puget Sound Restoration Fund (PSRF), a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the Sound’s water quality and native marine species and their habitats.
While the 27th annual Oyster New Year event isn’t until November 2nd, you will want to get your tickets now as they sell out every year. And for good reason, highlights of the event include: 30+ varieties of local oysters shucked to order at the 150-foot oyster bar (oyster growers are the shuckers!), a fresh seafood buffet, wine from over 60 wineries, local microbrews, live music, the famous “Oyster Luge”, raffle prizes, and the People’s Choice “Most Beautiful Oyster” contest.
