Smith Tower opened The Lookout, a pop-up bar on its 22nd floor rooftop on August 8th.

Summer is one of the few times we get to soak up the sun, and what better way to do that than on the rooftop of a historic and world-famous Seattle landmark? Previously only available for private events, The Lookout serves up casual drinks in a unique indoor and outdoor space, with stunning views of the Puget Sound, downtown Seattle, and the nearby stadiums.

As if a rooftop with stunning views isn’t enough, guests can enjoy a walk through historic Seattle as they make their way to the 22nd floor of Smith Tower. For $5, guests get access to The Lookout, as well as entry to the ground-level exhibits and a ride up in the historic Otis elevators.

“Summer is such a special season here in Seattle, and what better way to celebrate than to open up our rooftop space?” said David Lennon, general manager of Smith Tower Observatory. “Building off the success of our 35th floor Observatory Bar, this pop-up experience is yet another way to honor the history of this iconic building and our beautiful city, with one of the most incredible views in Seattle.”

The Lookout offers a variety of regional beers, ciders and wine, as well as light bar snacks. Open daily from 4:00 pm to dusk for those 21 years and older, the pop-up will continue through the end of September, with a potential extension into October, weather permitting.
