Rain Or Shine Community Market is a relatively new maker’s market that started in the fall on 2021. For the sake of transparency, this market is organized and run by the author of this article. We seek to center BIPOC artists and vendors and seeks to build an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible market community. The market is hosted by three local POC artists and seeks to decrease barriers, including in providing sliding scale and scholarship vendor fees, offering equipment share for new vendors, and free mentorship with veteran vendors.

This month, we’ve selected 35+ AAPI vendors to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month. The market is located in Chinatown-International District and takes place this Sunday, May 15th.
