The Metropolitan Grill

The Metropolitan Grill, “The Met,” is a downtown Seattle staple that is famous for having the best steak in the city. Most Seattleites know of the Met as the quintessential steakhouse with an award winning wine program, but what many do not know is that the Met also has an excellent cocktail class program.

Led by E3 Restaurant Group’s Beverage Director, Amanda Reed, the Met’s cocktail classes take place monthly and each class focuses on a specific liquor. In each class, attendees will enjoy three different cocktails, accompanied by a cheese and charcuterie plate. Amanda shares her knowledge of the various cocktails being enjoyed, including a history and background of the drink. Amanda is so vibrant and really knows her liquor, so you are sure to learn a lot in these classes on top of enjoying some delicious cocktails.

On March 17th, there will be an Irish Whiskey Tasting class that is currently sold out, but you can join the waiting list here. Other upcoming classes include:

  • Scotch History & Tasting, April 6th, $85/person
  • Derby Day Social, May 6th, $75/person
  • Gin Cocktails, June 8th, $75/person

You can RSVP for these classes via email. The Met is located in the heart of downtown Seattle, at the corner of Second Avenue and Marion Street. For more information, call 206-624-3287 or visit their website.
