We’ve always found British Columbia to be an alluring destination: The beautiful province is conveniently close to Seattle and offers an opportunity to use our passports when we’re feeling the itch. Project 5 x 5 gives five filmmakers the chance to showcase our beloved city.
On a recent snowy Tuesday in Park City, Utah, SundanceTV hosted a revolutionary event with the hardworking team of our very own Visit Seattle to celebrate the launch of Project Five by Five. The happening party showed off some of Seattle’s finest assets, from artist Allen Stone to freshly-shucked oysters and Rachel’s Ginger Beer-based cocktails. It also put our stunning city on the big screen, exposing viewers to the magic we call home.

In 1996, The Seattle Hotel Association created the “Evening of Hope” gala to showcase those who make a difference in the community. Over the past 19 years, proceeds (totaling more than $5.6 million) have benefited dozens of local charities by leveraging the collective strength of 58 downtown member hotels.
