Seattle-based restaurant group, Weimann/Maclise Family of Restaurants, is opening Seaplane Kitchen & Bar in the heart of Kenmore on Monday, November 12th. The neighborhood restaurant will feature a Northwest-inspired menu centered around stone hearth pizzas, shareable roasted vegetables, and product from Northwest fisheries, farms, breweries and wineries.
James Weimann
Von Trapp’s is the Bavarian brain child of Deming Maclise and James Weimann, the guys responsible for Bastille and Poquitos. Apparently they recognized that it is impossible to go wrong with a place that provides bier, brats, and bocce in abundance.
Just a few months ago, Von Trapp’s waltzed into our Capitol Hill lives and we haven’t gone a weekend without wanting to belly-up to one of their bocce ball courts with beer and brat in hand.
Sprechen Sie Deutsh? If you don’t, you’d better get out your Rosetta Stone because you’ll want to know such phrases as:
A Bier, bittschen (“One beer, please”)
Authentic scotch cuisine arrives in Ballard.
James Weimann and Deming Maclisse are once again adding a new establishment to their already impressive resume — the pair also owns Bastille Café & Bar and Poquitos. Along with good friend and namesake, Allen Macleod (a native of Edinburgh, Scotland), the trio christened Macleod’s Scottish Pub just last week.
The Duo behind Ballard’s Bastille Café & Bar brings you some Mexican flavor on Capitol Hill.
After the relaxing weekend you just had, you’ve worked up an appetite. Head over to Capitol Hill today for the grand opening of the brand-spankin’-new Mexican joint, Poquitos.
