Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day Weekend is this weekend. I think I feel this way every summer, but wow, it really blew by!
It’s a bit hard to think about Labor Day Weekend when it’s only finally starting to feel like summer, but we’re a week from August already. This year’s festival runs Friday August 30th through Sunday, September 1st.
Bumbershoot—Seattle’s biggest music, comedy, and arts festival for back with a bang for labor day weekend this year. The festival celebrated its 48th year at the stunning Seattle Center.
The lineup was announced tonight at a free party at the Showbox Market. Bumbershoot tickets go on sale Friday at 10! The festival will be held Friday through Sunday of Labor Day Weekend instead of Saturday through Monday in past years. Local favorites Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Death Cab for Cutie will headline the weekend. There is a fair bit of EDM this year: Kygo, Pretty Lights, DJ Snake, Porter Robinson, Zed’s Dead, and Zhu.
This Labor Day Weekend, Bumbershoot celebrates 46 years!
Treefort Music Festival just passed, Sasquatch is coming up at The Gorge next month, Capitol Hill Block Party just announced its lineup for July, and Bumbershoot tickets are on sale! The early bird sale is almost over, so make sure to get your tickets before prices go up! This year, the event will be held Friday through Sunday of Labor Day Weekend instead of Saturday through Monday in past years. This is an awesome shift so we will have Sunday to rest and recover before heading back to work/school on Tuesday!

This annual 3-day event is the top music festival in the Seattle, bringing to town big names and all sorts of other entertainment, including comedy & theatre acts, film and dance. It was sunny and between the low to mid-70’s all day. Day 3 on Labor Day Monday was an all-around wonderful and successful day.
We can’t wait for Bumbershoot 2016!
