Every March, Washington State Wine (WSW)—the organization that represents all wineries and vineyards in Washington State—honors the ever-growing Washington State wine industry with a month-long celebration of tastings, pairings, promotions and events. To celebrate Taste Washington Wine Month 2016, the Fairmont Olympic Hotel will host their second annual wine event series.
The events will run throughout the month of March, and will include unique complimentary wine tastings with some of Washington’s best winemakers:
- March 3 with Woodward Canyon Winery & L’Ecole N° 41
- March 4 with Novelty Hill | Januik Winery & Ross Andrew Winery
- March 10 with Chateau Ste Michelle & Elsom Cellars
- March 11 with DeLille Cellars & Upchurch Vineyard
- March 17 with Northstar Winery & Maison Bleue
- March 18 with Betz Family Winery & Andrew Will Winery
Each of these evenings, from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm, two wineries will each pour two wines for tastings. The events are open to the public and will take place in the Fairmont Olympic’s lobby lounge. Guests can taste a variety of wines while listening to local musicians and Visitors will also be able to purchase the wines by the glass in the lobby lounge, giving wine lovers the chance to sip on top shelf wines that rarely are available by the glass.
