The Spot: It seems Hajime Sato wasn’t satisfied with just owning a sustainable sushi restaurant. What’s a sushi chef to do? Open a burger joint, of course. Only, offer a Japanese twist. Welcome to Katsu Burger and prepare yourself for a unique spin on the venerable burger.

The Dish: The secret to the Katsu Curry burger is its unique patty. You have your choice of beef, chicken, pork or tofu (you’ll want the pork for authenticity), but what comes next is the best part. The patty is coated in tempura and panko bread crumbs and then friend. The succulent meat is then topped with katsu curry sauce, shredded cabbage, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and a bun. Juicy, crunchy, and oh so delicious. For a serious appetite, and if we want to shave a few years off your life, try the massive Mt. Fuji burger with all three meat patties, bacon, cheese, and tonkatsu sauce.
