Authentic Italian cuisine in Kirkland’s vibrant downtown.

In this edition of Food Porn, we feature Ristorante Paradiso, a cozy Italian restaurant located in the heart of Kirkland downtown overlooking Lake Washington. 

Chef and owner Fabrizio Loi is from Sardinia, Italy where he grew up and attended Italy’s national culinary college. In the 22 years since Fabrizio opened Ristorante Paradiso, Kirkland has blossomed into a thriving community, but this loyal customers have attributed to his steadfast business.

Caprese Salad features basil, tomatoes, and fresh buffalo mozzarella imported from Italy. Often, mozzarella is a mix of buffalo and cow’s milk; however, this Ristorante Paradiso’s mozzarella uses 100% buffalo milk, creating an indescribably creamy and soft texture.

The Cioppino Del Capitano and the Risotto Di Mare are packed with fresh seafood, including mussels, shrimp, clams, and calamari and complemented with zesty red sauces. The menu also offers a wide array of pasta options, including Gnocchi, Pasta Crepes, Lasagna, Spaghetti, and Fettuchini.

Ristorante Paradiso has several popular veal dishes, including the Vitello Scampi with butterflied jumbo prawns wrapped in thiny sliced veal and served with lemon garlic linguine. The Bistecca al Pepe is also a very popular entree which features a pepper steak served with onions and mushrooms.

The Italian ice cream dessert, Tartufo, is composed of two flavors of ice cream and served in a spherical shape. The Tiramisu composed of espresso –soaked lady fingers with a rich, but light mascarpone and whipped cream filling is a perfect way to end a savory meal.
