Many Seattleites take off Labor Day Weekend and flock to campsites, boating trips, and wonderful nooks and crannies of the Pacific Northwest to enjoy their mini vaycay three day weekend. But if you’re staying in town this year, don’t miss out on the Bumbershoot 2012 Festival.
Bumbershoot is Seattle’s biggest music and arts festival, and this year mark’s it’s 42nd anniversary at the Seattle Center. Beginning in the 70’s, Bumbershoot has seduced locals by showcasing some of the best artists, musicians, films, comedies, dance performers, theater, visual arts you name it they got it, and quite a few of the acts were born right here, just like you and me.
The festivities takes place over Labor Day weekend year after year on 74 acres of the Seattle Center grounds, drawing over 100,000 people over the weekend. This year’s line up includes those crowd pleasing artists listed above, as well as Gotye, AWOLNATION, comedic performers Nick Swardson and Kiro’s best Radio Show Too Beautiful to Live and many many more shows you don’t want to miss.
