The talented Chef Sam Crannell and his wife, Tracey Crannell, opened Lloyd Martin one year ago earlier this month. With an amazing staff, including the wonderful and down-to-earth front of house Ashaly, the efficient and knowledgable bartender Tyler, and Chef Sam, a kind, approachable man who makes the rounds to greet customers and check on their meals.

The Albacore Crudo with white soy and a finger lime is delicate and fresh. One of the most delightful renditions of Gnocchi,  Lloyd Martin’s housemade potato dumpling is a departure from the traditional version as it is pan fried after being cooked in boiling water. This gives it a light crunch, followed by a soft, pillowy inside.

For heartier fare, Lloyd Martin serves a nice selection of exotic meats, including Bison, Elk, Wagyu Beef, and more depending on the night. The Malted Waffled with Maple Ice Cream for dessert can’t be missed. Strips of bacon are baked into the crisp and fluffy waffle and served with a bourbon-tea syrup. You won’t want to share.
