The Radar: Belltown Dishcrawl

In case you missed the Capitol Hill, Bellevue and Kirkland dishcrawls last year, you’ll have another chance to stroll the streets with strangers in search of eats on Feb. 6 in Belltown. (For those of you unfamiliar with Seattle neighborhoods, Belltown is usually referred to as the stretch of city near the waterfront between Pike Place Market to the south and Denny Way to the north.)

What’s a dishcrawl you ask? Think pub crawl. Now swap out the pub part for a local restaurant and voilá! Instead of paying per pint like you might during a typical crawl, the dishcrawl is a one-time ticket price ($45) that includes ALL of the food for the night. To boot, you also get to meet the chefs and owners.

That’s right, the ticket price includes your visit to four restaurants plus meet-and-greets in this gastronomical adventure. Speaking of adventure, the four restaurants are to remain nameless until two days before the event, though hints of the locations will be dropped between now and then on Twitter @DishcrawlSEA. It really is an adventure, see? The crawl allows (and encourages) much mingling so who knows, you might even meet a new Seattleite friend or two. Right in time for V-Day. Wink!
