Summer is almost here! Temperatures are rising and the days are getting long with the sun setting well past 9 o’clock. For some of us–dealing with what to do with kids who insist that they absolutely need to stay up past their bedtime because there’s not even a remote chance they’d be able to get a wink of

The Sweeney team strikes again–this time in Redmond. The sixth local Pure Barre studio opened its doors this October in the Red160 apartments in downtown Redmond and joined Super Jock N’ Jill, Rudy’s Barbershop, Top Pot Doughnuts and more local businesses with Eastside offshoots.
No longer relegated just to babies, storks have expanded their services to include 100-percent cotton cloth diapers to Seattle and Eastside families. Diaper Stork, launched in September 2014, creates convenience for area young professionals who might also be moms or dads.
I was looking at my calendar the other day and I realized I haven’t experienced the burn of Pure Barre for almost six months. Six months! The dismay! Blame it on being a first-time working nursing mom, I guess, since doesn’t seem to be a shortage of Pure Barre locations across western Washington, that’s for sure.

Okay, okay, the official name of this event actually refers to it as a “round-up” but ehh. You say po-tay-to, I say po-tah-to. You say round-up, I say rodeo. I can see it now: a herd of food trucks grazing the Seattle streets when out of nowhere a starving Seattleite attempts to lasso one of them using an over-sized fork and only being thwarted by the latest in the Super Sonics NBA-decision distraction.
