In this edition of Food Porn, we feature La Spiga, featuring Northeast Italian cuisine from the Emilia-Romagna region. Chef and co-owner Sabrina Tinsley makes handmade pastas and flatbreads daily. La Spiga is now offering satisfying, yet affordable lunch and an impressive happy hour menu. From salads to pastas and paninis, there will surely be something you will enjoy.

During lunch, their signature Lasagne Verdi is a six-layer lasagna made with homemade spinach noodles, meat ragu, béchamel, and parmigiano for $14. The result is an intensely creamy and decadent experience. As you cut through the six layers, everything stays together for a wonderful bite. Gnocchi al Pomodoro with house tomato sauce s $13 and the Tagliatelle al Burro di Tartufo with white Alba Truffle butter is $14.

The paninis include Porchetta with roasted onions and salsa verde ciabatta and Salsiccia with grilled pork sausage, peperonata sauce, and Fontina cheese, both for $9. A vegetarian Ortolana with sauteed spinach, mushroom ragu, and roasted onion and Melanzane with mozzarella, roasted eggplants and tomatoes, salsa verde, and Piccante with salame, sheep’s milk cheese, all for $8.

Classy without being pretentious, La Spiga is the perfect place for an intimate meal or a sophisticated group gathering. With large tables to accomodate big groups, patio seating, and an upstairs that can be reserved for private parties, La Spiga has it all.

Newly open for lunch Monday through Friday 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Italian Happy Hour is offered daily from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Friday through Saturday from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
